Heute ist Eurac Research ein international angesehenes und weltweit vernetztes Wissenschafts- und Forschungszentrum. Im Jahr 1992, also vor 30 Jahren, begründet, musste sich die damalige „Europäische Akademie Bozen“ zunächst mühsam den Weg bahnen. In einem eher abweisenden Umfeld gelang es ihr nach und nach, die Anliegen von Wissenschaft fest zu etablieren und dabei personell und strukturell enorm zu expandieren. Today, Eurac Research is an internationally respected and globally networked science and research center. But how did this success come about, and what are its future targets and projects? Founded in 1992, 30 years ago, the then “European Academy of Bozen-Bolzano” had to overcome numerous obstacles to find its way. In a rather forbidding environment, it gradually succeeded in firmly establishing the concerns of science, while expanding enormously in terms of personnel and structure.
