Wir Menschen sind historische Wesen. Unser Erbe aus 3 Millionen Jahren Menschheitsgeschichte bestimmt heute immer noch – zumeist unbewusst – unseren Alltag. Der Schlüssel zum Verständnis dieses Erbes liegt in der Archäologie der Altsteinzeit. Hier entwickelt sich unser typisch menschliches Verhalten, das in archäologischen Funden und Befunden Überliefert ist. Es ist die Aufgabe unserer Forschung im Archäologischen Forschungszentrum und Museum für menschliche Verhaltensevolution MONREPOS, dies in den Blick zu nehmen. Dieses Buch zeigt, welche Erkenntnisse unserer Forschung die wissenschaftliche Welt bewegt hat und die Basis unseres Museums bilden. We humans are historical beings. Our heritage from 3 million years of human history still determines our everyday life today – mostly unconsciously. The key to understanding this heritage lies in Palaeolithic Archaeology. During this epoch our typical human behaviour developed, and has been handed down in archaeological finds and findings. It is the task of our research at the Archaeological Research Centre and Museum for Human Behavioural Evolution, MONREPOS, to bring this into focus. This book reveals those findings from our research which have moved the scientific world and form the basis of our museum.
