The marine bivalve fauna of Namibia has been illustrated and described using samples mainly collected by German research cruises. The bivalve inventory includes a significant number of recently described species. Namibia's bivalves are poorly known when compared to the bivalve fauna of neighbouring South Africa and Angola. This book fills this knowledge gap. 150 species of 48 families are lavishly illustrated. A further 52 named taxa with unknown status are also mentioned and discussed.
