Influence of Culture and Leadership Development
This study investigates the theory that contemporary and traditional cultures affect current leadership models in Africa and its Leadership Development programs. It is based on the hypothesis that Pentecostalism in Africa deviated from the Christ Leadership Paradigm of Servanthood. Lack of recognition and change of such development will result in forfeiture of effectiveness, culminating in loss of its impetus, spiritual significance, and its Pentecostal heritage. Returning to Christ's Leadership Paradigm of Servanthood is paramount to arrest such loss and curtail the negative aspects of culture's influence. Research was carried out through the use of surveys, and foremost through a Delphi Study of Two Rounds. A Panel of Experts endeavored to establish current leadership methodologies and practices and project a Leadership paradigm, developed primarily by and for indigenous African leaders.
