Das Projekt "Seamotion" führte Herbert Böttcher im Jahr 2004 auf zwei Containerschiffen in siebenwöchiger Fahrt von Europa nach Brasilien, Singapur und Hongkong. Im Jahr 2007 folgte eine zwölfwöchige Rundreise von Europa nach Brasilien, USA, Venezuela, Brasilien und zurück nach Hamburg. In mitreißenden Panoramen hat der Photograph das Zusammenspiel von Meer, Wind und das Dahingleiten der riesigen Containerschiffe eingefangen. Entstanden sind kraftvolle Aufnahmen, die die einzigartige Schönheit bewegter Meere inszenieren.
