With a view to the university anniversary year 2020 - in 1920, the predecessor institution of the German Sport University Cologne was founded in the form of the German University of Physical Education in Berlin - the collection holdings on the theme of "100 Years of the German Sport University Cologne" were examined. With the help of a large number of documents and photos that have never before been published, this volume traces the university's history in detail, from the beginnings at the Berlin location to the re-establishment in 1947 in Cologne to the German Sport University Cologne. Developments in areas such as research, study and teaching, campus construction, university life and education policy are present in detail.
