Nach den Plänen von Otto March ließ Carl Friedrich von Siemens 1909/10 den sogenannten „Heinenhof“ errichten. Als prächtiges Anwesen am Lehnitzsee bei Neu Fahrland war das Herrenhaus zunächst Unternehmervilla und repräsentative Kulisse für geschäftliche Veranstaltungen bis es nach dem Tod von Carl Friedrich von Siemens 1941 die aus Siemensstadt verlagerte Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilung der Firma Siemens aufnahm und bei Kriegsende Zufluchtstätte für Teile des Siemens-Vorstands war, der dort schließlich von russischen Truppen verhaftet wurde.
