Ist die Aufgabenkultur in Geschichtsschulbüchern auf historisches Denken ausgerichtet? Im vorliegenden Band wird dieser Frage anhand einer kategorialen Analyse österreichischer und deutscher Geschichtsschulbücher nachgegangen. Hierfür werden diese hinsichtlich der Umsetzung zentraler Kriterien für Lernaufgaben im Kontext einer fachlichen Aufgabenkultur qualitativ analysiert und quantitativ ausgewertet. Die Studie bietet damit einen repräsentativen Einblick in die Aufgabenkultur der analysierten Schulbücher und begleitet empirisch den Veränderungsprozess zu einem auf die Förderung historischen Denkens ausgerichteten Geschichtsunterricht. Darüber hinaus öffnet der Autor den Blick auf theoretische und praktische Leerstellen im Kontext der Erforschung und Umsetzung einer Aufgabenkultur historischen Denkens – nicht nur in Geschichtsschulbüchern. Is the exercise culture in history schoolbooks centred on historical thinking? The present volume explores this question with the help of a categorial analysis of Austrian and German history schoolbooks. Therefore, the schoolbooks are being qualitatively analysed and quantitatively evaluated according to the implementation of central criteria for learning exercises in the context of a specialised exercise culture. Thus, the survey offers a representative insight into the exercise culture of the examined schoolbooks and empirically assists the transformation process towards history lessons that support historical thinking. Moreover, the author offers a new perspective on theoretical and practical gaps in context of research and implementation of an exercise culture on historical thinking – not exclusively in history schoolbooks.
