The 2011 Federal Horticultural Show (Bundesgartenschau) in Koblenz has provided the young and successful Swiss duo Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger with a pretext for the site-specific installation Floodwaters – Drink oh heart of mine from time’s abundance. The book provides a highly detailed documentation of the overwhelming installation, which runs from the lift through all the rooms of the new building. The book not only contains the unusual collection of material spanning the macro to the microbiological cosmos, but is also supplemented by literary and scientific insights into the topic which pose a number of profane questions for local flood victims.
