Multiscale simulation of the fracture behavior of heterogeneous structures under impact
In this work, a framework for the numerical simulation of dynamic fracture prosses in materials with a complex microstructure is developed. More precisely, impact loading scenarios are investigated, where a high velocity load is applied to a limited area, from wich stress waves propagate throught the body, which is wy an important aspect of this work is the inclusion of inertia an an appropriate time integration scheme.
