However, the writings of this prolific author were astonishingly widespread, as is impressively demonstrated by the hundreds of manuscripts of his works that survived . Honorius was an early medieval bestselling author with a remarkable history of influence, whose significance is still largely unexplored and whose originality needs to be rediscovered.
