Two brothers on the Camino de Compostela: What is important in this life? Looking for an answer, the author describes his impressions on the pilgrimage route of Saint-Jean-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela. Through the dialogue with his brother the author shows different understandings which continue to change whilst encountering numerous pilgrims during the trek. The book tells of the search for meaning through the writer’s experiences as he meets many people from around the world, whilst the thought-provoking exchange with the native population and the immediate experience of nature round off the story. Finally the impression emerges that on the Camino desire and the insistence on fulfilment of desire disappear. You associate with many people and share happy moments with them. All complaints which people carry are discarded and one feels gently protected.
