Fünf Silberobjekte des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts in der Abegg-Stiftung stammten ursprünglich aus der Sammlung Alfred Pringsheim, des Schwiegervaters von Thomas Mann. Nach dem Krieg wurden die Silbergegenstände an die Erben restituiert und in New York verkauft. Erstmals werden in der Monographie Raumansichten aus dem 1933 niedergelegten Palais Pringsheim gezeigt und die fünf Silbergegenstände ausführlich gewürdigt.
