Optimal Design of Small-Scale Experiments for Model-Based Scale-Up of Adsorption Chillers
The performance of adsorption chillers is currently limited by low efficiency and power density. Recently, research has tried to overcome these drawbacks by employing novel working pairs with improved equilibrium and kinetic properties. However, most studies incorporate only the working pairs or their equilibrium properties and often neglect adsorption kinetics. Hence, this work presents a comparative study of working pairs for adsorption chillers by scaling-up small-scale equilibrium and kinetic experiments to a dynamic full-scale adsorption chiller model.
