Zu Beginn werden der Vorstoß und der Rückzug des Loisach-Gletschers in einer Folge von Bildern dargestellt. 4 (Rad-)Exkursionen führen von Gauting über das Westufer des Starnberger Sees, Murnau und Garmisch-Partenkirchen zur Zugspitze und zurück über Oberammergau, Murnau und Andechs nach Starnberg. Eine weitere Exkursion führt von Starnberg durchs Fünf-Seen-Land über Andechs und Herrsching nach Weßling. Den Abschluss bildet eine Fahrt »Rund um den Ammersee«.
