Der Band ist der Argumentationsanalyse des Diskurses über den Krieg in der Ukraine gewidmet. Im Mittelpunkt stehen als Gegenpole das ukrainische und das russische Narrativ; darüber hinaus bietet das Buch einen Überblick über ideologisch, national und geopolitisch profilierte Diskrepanzen bzw. Übereinstimmungen der Diskurspositionen in Polen, Deutschland, Frankreich, Großbritannien und Spanien. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Darstellung von Schlagwörtern, durch die bestimmte Topoi vermittelt werden. Dabei besteht die Schlüsselfrage in der Bestimmung von Werten oder Antiwerten in der europäischen Kultur. Der abschließende Beitrag ist daher als eine vergleichende Analyse von Schlagwörtern aus axiologischer Sicht konzipiert, die den Leser:innen sowohl diverse Profile der Einzeldiskurse als auch transnationale und nationalspezifische Konzepte vorstellt. The volume is dedicated to analysing the argumentation of the discourse on the war in Ukraine. It primarily focuses on the Ukrainian and Russian narratives as opposing poles; in addition, the book provides an overview of ideologically, nationally and geopolitically profiled discrepancies and similarities between the discourse positions in Poland, Germany, Great Britain, France and Spain. The focus is on the presentation of buzzwords that are used to convey certain topoi. The key question here is the definition of values or anti-values in European culture. The concluding chapter is conceived as a comparative analysis of buzzwords from an axiological perspective, providing readers with a preview of various profiles of individual discourses as well as transnational and nation-specific concepts.
