This compilation lists, according to literary sources, the most important Egyptian sites with Christian communities, churches, cloisters and dioceses in Arab times. The work shows that the boomyears of Egyptian Christianity were during Byzantine times but also, that there was active Christian life in Egypt during the centuries of Muslim reign.
