In langjährigen Umbau- und Erneuerungsarbeiten entstand im Adalberttrakt des Universitätshauptgebäudes am Geschwister-Scholl-Platz ein gemeinsames „Haus“ für die Katholisch-Theologische Fakultät und die Evangelisch-Theologische Fakultät der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Die Übergabe des Gebäudes fand am 12. Juli 2010 im Beisein des Bayerischen Ministerpräsidenten Horst Seehofer, des Erzbischofs von München und Freising Dr. Reinhard Marx und des Evangelischen Landesbischofs Dr. Johannes Friedrich statt.
