Philosophische Physiologie
»Nature« is one of the oldest themes of philosophy which is also still controversial today. Since the emancipation of the natural sciences it does however seem questionable whether or not the subject of nature can still be approached separately by philosophy. Hoffmann‹s work suggests a new approach: Based on the traditional options to be found in the works of Aristotle, Cusanus, Bruno, Galilei, Leibniz, Hegel or Schelling, he develops aspects of a concept of nature as a distinct sensory dimension outside of logical objectivity. The result leads to a specific presence of nature in the world which is relevant not only from a theoretical perspective but also from a practical and aesthetic perspective.
