Marie-Jo Lafontaine is a Belgian contemporary artist of international renown, born in 1950 in Antwerp and now living in Brussels. She is known for her multimedia installations, video sculptures, photo and monochrome pictures, sound creations and urban environments. Winner of countless international awards and distinctions, she used to teach in several art schools in Germany and her creations were notably exhibited at the Documenta in Kassel, at the Musée du Jeu de Paume in Paris, at the Tate Gallery in London or at LacMa in Los Angeles. The author Véronique Bergen is a belgian philosopher, novelist and poet. Alexandre Castant who wrote the foreword of the book is professor of the National Art Schools, essayist and art critic
