This publication deals with the dialogue, the increasingly important direct exchange of information, between architects and structural engineers as part of an expert and creative exchange. As a result of his diverse career experience, which includes experimental design, construction and lecturing activities, Werner Sobek is one of the leading protagonists in his field on the world stage. At his Institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design (ILEK) at the University of Stuttgart, he leads an interdisciplinary team that explores the limits of what is possible in terms of construction and expands them.
