The volume contains acknowledgements, a foreword, a private eulogy, a bibliography, a list of theses completed under the supervision of the honoured, and 36 papers. These contributions are attributed to four chapters on sources / concepts / methods [6 papers], the Stone Age [17], the Metal Ages [9], and the Roman Iron Age to the Middle Ages [4].
