Under both structural and mineral-exploration aspects this work deals with the reconstruction of synsedimentary fault system which were active during the development of the Rhenish Basin in the Devonian and Lower Carboniferous. The Rhenish Massif (Germany) is a good test case for studying the spatial, temporal and genetic relationships between synsedimentary fault activities and submarine-hydrothermal mineralization.
