Der Dichter Klabund (1890-1928) widmete Schloss Zeesen im Jahre 1926 eine Ode. Wenig später wurde das Schloss, einst Domizil der Berliner Finanz- und Kulturaristokratie, Sommerresidenz des Schauspielers und Regisseurs Gustaf Gründgens (1899-1963). Klaus Völker beschreibt detailliert die Inspiration die der Ort auf das Leben und die Arbeit Gründgens ausübte.
