The book provides an original framework for understanding, modeling, and improving process-product interdependencies in battery cell production. The framework combines a process chain model with a battery cell model to quantify the impact of individual production processes on the properties of the intermediate product and on the performance of the final battery cell. In addition, two analysis functions are introduced to identify sensitive input parameters and quantify the impact of uncertain process parameters on final performance characteristics, and to derive production tolerances for individual process steps.
