Im Rahmen der Globalisierung der Rohstoffmärkte, der Ausrichtung der Wirtschaft in Richtung Bioökonomie und der Energiewende gewinnt die Biomasse als Nahrungsmittel, Rohstoff und Energieträger für Deutschland zunehmend an Bedeutung. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurde für Deutschland auf Basis der Außenhandelsstatistik ein Überblick über die derzeit mengen- und wertmäßig bedeutendsten Biomasseträger und deren Herkunftsländer erstellt, ausgehend von den Importen für das Jahr 2014. Within the context of globalization of the commodity markets, the orientation of the economy towards bioeconomy and the German Energiewende, biomass as a food, raw material and energy carrier is becoming increasingly important for Germany. Against this background, a detailed overview of the currently most important biomass sources in terms of quantity and value as well as their origin countries was provided for Germany, based on the imports of 2014.
