Impact of Ocean Adification
Ocean acidification is a long-term and encroaching environmental problem. Ocean acidification might impair marine biodiversity to large extent. The book deals with this global problem both from a scientific and a sustainability perspective. Sustainability perspective rests both on environmental ethics and intergenerational justice. Case studies specify risk and possible loss and damages being caused by ocean acidification. Authors argue that there is urgent need to stop ocean acidification as soon as possible. Curbing CO2-emissions by fast and agressive mitigation policies is crucial. The book has resulted from the BIOACID research project being performed at Christian Albrechts University Kiel.
